I went out west for a 10 day course - tried to make a vacation out it and that was a huge mistake. After the 10 day course, everyone in the class was only able to get one flight due to weather and wasn’t comfortable trying to fly on my own. Found Dave at YCFPPG and my experience was awesome. Dave and his other instructor Dave have a wealth of experience and I learned a lot more about the flying portion than I did at the 10 day class. They were able to answer very specific questions, help me assemble my electric paramotor correctly and repair it after a couple of pieces broke. Most importantly, they kept me safe. I now feel comfortable and safe flying on my own. When I need recurrent training or additional gear, definitely will go to YCFPPG to get both.

I went for a tandem ride because my husband wanted to try it out. Turns out I fell in love with it too! David is an amazing guy! Very knowledgeable and absolutely calming on your first ride. I would highly recommend doing it… If only for the amazing experience!

After a year of delaying it- I did a tandem flight with David. He's an awesome instructor, and very passionate about PPG. He ensures you're comfortable and talks you through the flight to make sure that you get a great experience. As a fellow fixed wing pilot, this was so much different to what I'm used to doing. I thoroughly enjoyed having the wind in my face and the new level of freedom it gave me. The flight experience was 100/10.. and I recommend that everyone take a flight. You will NOT regret it!

Edit— SO! Shortly after my tandem, I took the plunge and joined the class, and what an amazing experience! Not only was it awesome to learn how to fly, but I just genuinely enjoyed being there and getting to know everyone; it was so fun. For me, and I’m sure plenty of others, it can feel intimidating learning something new with people watching, but the vibe is just so welcoming and the instructors are always encouraging and just cheering you on the whole time, even after the flubs and butt landings. 😛 David, John, and Whitney are so great at celebrating your wins, and hyping you up when you’re feeling discouraged. They’re also very safety conscious, which made me feel really good about trusting their guidance. I also got to know the class and we all had a great time learning together and supporting each other. Original review: I haven't taken their full training course (yet 😏), but I went for a tandem flight and it was such an incredible experience. If you're nervous about trying it, all I can say is you really don't need to be! The instructors know what they're doing, and it's not scary at all. In fact I thought it was mostly pretty relaxing, and...dreamy? Definitely dreamy. John also tailored it to my preferences by asking if I would like to do a fun, roller-coaster-y maneuver, which I accepted and thought was amazing, but he's obviously not going to just do something you might find scary without asking. He and David were also SO nice and welcoming, and just generally interesting people. Great experience all around. ✌🏻

Choosing You Can Fly PPG for training continues to be the best decision I've made in my paramotoring journey. Dave's meticulously structured training, with a strong emphasis on safety, taught me to fly, but that was just the start. The ongoing mentorship from Dave, experienced pilots and YouCanFlys instructors has made my flying journey safe and meaningful. Dave has built the best PPG community, where everyone truly cares about each other’s success. I have flown in places I would never have dreamt of or had the opportunity to without this school.
