My brothers and I surprised our 88 year old mother with a helicopter tour at Silverhawk Aviation Academy for Mother's Day. First I had the wonderful pleasure of getting all the details taken care of with Mollie and she scheduled KIM as our pilot. Kim was just amazing, kind, fun and interactive. As they were flying over farms in the valley, our mother with let her know what crops are growing. Looks like everyone learned something new which made the tour extra special. We Will Be Back! Thank you to all at Silverhawk. You have a special team!

This past weekend I had the privilege of doing a discovery flight at Silverhawk Academy, and what an INCREDIBLE experience it was! Isaac, my instructor, was very professional and highly knowledgeable, and did a great job explaining everything along the way. He quickly put me at ease, and I knew I was in good hands up in the air. I even got a few shaky attempts at taking the controls and hovering. The flight was truly unforgettable!! It is clear that Silverhawk takes the professional training of its pilots very seriously. And I know that without a doubt, because Isaac is my son. 😁 From our first experience at Silverhawk with Isaac’s discovery flight 2.5 years ago, to all of his flights and grounds along the way, to the CFI hiring process — it is evident that instructors and staff at Silverhawk are held to the highest standard. Safety, professionalism, and a welcoming atmosphere are top priorities. My husband and I feel very confident that Isaac received the best training possible, and seeing his skills in action during our flight only reinforced that knowledge. A big thank you to Silverhawk for providing the opportunity for Isaac to become a talented pilot and instructor…one who just took his mom on her first disco flight!

I had a great experience with my discovery flight at Silver Hawk. Everyone was welcoming and professional from the start. Shana (Admin Manager) gave me a thorough tour and overview of the school and immediately made me feel welcome. My instructor, Mike, explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. The flight was an unforgettable experience; I even got hands-on time with the controls while feeling completely safe. The aircraft was well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was both professional and friendly. I’d highly recommend Silver Hawk to anyone interested in learning to fly.

I had an amazing experience with my discovery flight at Silver Hawk! From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely excited to introduce me to flying. The instructor (Jeffrey) took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable in the aircraft right away. Coming from my part 61 school in the suburbs of Chicago to Silver Hawk. It’s completely different in the best way possible. Significantly more instructor and aircraft availability. The instructors and staff genuinely care about your personal and academic success, creating an environment that is both supportive and motivating. The flight itself was unforgettable. I was able to get hands on time with the controls while still feeling completely safe. You can tell they truly care about teaching and building confident pilots. The aircraft was well maintained, and the overall operation felt very professional as well as welcoming. As someone serious about pursuing flight training, this experience really stood out and reinforced my passion for aviation. Just earned my Instrument Rating through Silverhawk which was a very rewarding experience. The maintenance team, admissions, and CFI's are top-notch and very professional. I am especially thankful for Rob who has been my primary flight instructor at Silverhawk. Rob teaches in a way that is easy to understand and he is extremely thorough in making sure his students are prepared for Stage Checks and Checkrides. Rob also always makes himself available to ensure the success of his students. Can't recommend Rob and the Silverhawk team enough!
