Great school and location, Midway definitely made me a better pilot then most places. Commute to practice areas is same as other flights schools like the ones in Dupage and Executive airport. Wished they had a more modren airplane though!

Trained here and got my PPL in 2024. Alex and the other instructors are some of the safest and most skilled pilots I have met, and are invested in student success. Although learning at a larger (Class C) Airport like Midway can seem challenging, doing initial training with busy air traffic control and commercial jets all around you will make you a better aviator. Also, what's cooler than having Southwest pilots wave at you as they pass by in their 737s?

I truly cannot say enough great things about the staff/team at Aeronautics Academy Flight School at Chicago Midway Airport (KMDW). After several years of starting and stopping my flight training for my private pilot license, I was introduced to Aeronautics Academy. I live in Atlanta and have tried so many flight schools over the years, none of which offered the quality instruction, continuity in references to ground school information and what is being conducted and practiced in the airplane. Pete and Alex are master CFI’s and have a comfort level with the aircraft that I never knew existed. This gave me confidence to allow the aircraft to be an extension of who I am as well. They believed in me and my abilities and would not let me fail. If I could do it all again, I would have ONLY gone to Aeronautics Academy for all of my private pilot training. I earned my private pilot license on my first checkride out of Chicago Midways aerodrome! Not only am I a licensed pilot, but also an aircraft owner. I couldn’t be happier with the results I received from Aeronautics Academy. If it were up to me, I would replicate Aeronautics Academy at every flight school in the US! Thank you Pete and Alex!

Simply the best place to get your pilot training, my experience with Alex is what any student could ever hope for with your instructor. Knowlegde test, 92% score in 1 take and check ride passed in 1 take, what else can you ask for?
