Simon is personable and committed to being a part in your aviation journey. Their selection for the Aerotrek aircraft give pilots the practical training required to understand the coupling and dance of stick-and-rudder skills, and energy management--without distracting avionics that dull dead-reckoning skills; learn the plane first, then the computer second.

I recently went up for an introductory flight with Simon at Creekbend Aviation and it completely sold me on pursuing flight training. From the first conversation, Simon was patient, clearly knowledgeable, and made sure I understood what was happening at every step before we even got in the plane. The pre-flight walkthrough alone taught me more about aviation than I expected. Once we were in the air over South Central Indiana, Simon let me get a feel for the controls and explained everything in a way that was easy to follow even with zero experience. You can tell he genuinely loves teaching and wants his students to understand the why behind everything, not just go through the motions. If you’re anywhere near Bloomington and thinking about a discovery flight or getting into flight training, I can’t recommend Creekbend Aviation enough. Already looking forward to going back.
