John is a knowledgeable and thorough CFI for flight reviews. The ground portion was genuinely enjoyable — more of a conversation than a grilling. On the flight, we reviewed slow flight, steep turns, ground reference, short field, soft field, regular landings, and pilotage. The pilotage was the most interesting part for me.
