    I waited until I finished all my ratings to share my honest opinion. I had a great experience during my Private, Instrument, and Commercial training. Although this location doesn’t have a multi-engine aircraft, which is a bit of a downside ,it doesn’t affect my review because I knew that from day one, and their KNEW location has a really nice multi-engine airplane. I truly enjoyed my time here and learned a lot. The instructors and staff are friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Big shout-out to everyone involved. Thank you for helping me grow as a pilot!

    Can I please give MORE than 5 stars?!?! My daughter has been a flight student at GCA in Baton Rouge since January 2025. She’s almost finished her Private Pilot Certification and we could not be more pleased with her training! She’s having a blast, we’ve all learned so much about aviation! She comes home from each flight lesson and talks for hours about her experiences! Her CFIs are incredible, encouraging, and respectful (talking about you Seth, Kirk, & Ryan)! This was hands down the best decision we’ve made before sending her off to college for professional flight! We’re so dang proud of her and so very thankful for Gulf Coast Aviation!!!

    Best Part 141 Flight School in the country. Excellent facilities. Spencer Fox is my instructor. He is a phenomenal teacher and an accomplished airman. I cant speak for all of their instructors as I have only been taught by Mr. Fox but I am certain they are all a cut above. The staff is second to none and they know how to handle their business. The training aircraft are maintained to the highest standard and there has never been a scheduling issue. They follow the FAA Part 141 training syllabus which is the best way to become a safe, proficient, and capable aviator. Their training locations are located in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Stennis, and there is one more I cannot recall at the moment. If you are serious about investing the time and resources required to meet the standards, study up on their operation.
