As a surprise birthday gift, my incredible hubby setup an Aviator Discovery Flight for me with New Orleans Aerial Tours & Flight Training. They gave me the rare opportunity to actually fly a small plane into a beautiful New Orleans sunset. This city holds a special place in my heart and it was jaw-dropping to see it from this perspective. My instructor, Ashley, was an awesome teacher and ensured we all made it back in one piece. I highly recommend for anyone looking for something different and exciting. Flying a plane is an, oddly, peaceful experience!

Fun experience! Everyone on staff was very nice. It was a Christmas gift to my husband to actually fly the plane. The pilot did take off and landing, but my husband got to fly most of the time in the air and taxi back to the lot after landing. Thankfully the weather held out for us and we had a lovely flight. Note that if you fly you generally stay over the bayou area and do not go over the actual city due to tight air space. If the pilot flies you can go over the city, but not both in the allotted time.

I flew with Ian, had never been on a small plane before. The whole experience was great! Ariel had to figure out last minute scheduling due to weather, but she got everything worked out and mage the flight happen. From start to finish everyone was professional, pleasant and I will come back and fly with them again.
