This school is excellent. Although small, it boasts a highly-experienced chief pilot and well maintained aircraft. Terry, the owner and chief pilot, is very invested in his students and goes the extra mile to provide high quality instruction. He tailors his lessons to match the eventual goal of the student, and it is evident he has emphasized many part 121/135 training aspects during my time with him. If you're particular about a career in the airlines, steer away from pilot mills like ATP. Terry's 14,000 hours of experience will overshadow any instructor you'll meet at a part 141 school. He's not here to build time to ATP minimums, and that shows in his work.

Loved my instruction Kathleen, my 1st flight was perfect. The Piper Warrior I flew was great. The school was extremely responsive and get me up flying right away. I've been flying with 1WA for 5 months. They really care about their planes and their pilots. Keeping extra safety gear in the planes and matching training pace to their students.

I started my flight training in 2006. I tried out demo flights with several flight schools before deciding to have my training with 1 World Aero. The major factor for my choice is the chief instructor Terry Russell. Not like many instructors in other flight school who are building up fly hours to qualify for airline jobs, Terry is fully qualified for airline pilot with his ATP rating but committed to flight instruction. So a student never has to worry about changing instructor. Especially for a senior citizen and slow learner like me that is the only way I can learn and eventually got my certificate. With his commitment and experience on flight instruction, many of my fellow students in 1 World Aero got their pilot license with as few as 60 hours (way below the national average of 72 hours). As for me, it took way much more hours to get mine. If it was with any other flight school, keep on changing instructors, I would never be able to complete the training and got my license. If you have any doubt, try out the demo flight with Terry, compare that with other schools, and you shall see why I had my training with 1 World Aero.

Working with this flight club for my Private Pilot License was a fantastic experience. There are several aircraft to choose from and several instructors that will fit your personal needs. They are patient and great instructors!!! You can not go wrong here.

I've been flying with 1 World Aero since 2008, and I'm always so impressed with how well the airplanes are maintained! Scheduling is easy, and the planes are usually available when I want to fly. Having 2 Tampicos makes it easy to get a plane and go flying with friends!
