What a diamond in the rough! I called Chas with zero hours and told him I wanted to become a pilot. He told me the cost and the time frame for the journey. I showed up a week later ready to go and we went from zero to commercial in 4 months time. He helped me purchase my own aircraft as well and the best part…..he is also A&P with a shop on site so you’ll never miss a check ride for maintenance issues like those bigger schools! He has a couple CFI’s other than himself in the area to help out or give you a second opinion or just to fly with someone else as well. There are a variety of different styles and sizes of airplanes for rent on site so no issues getting complex or other ratings (there’s not currently a multi engine) but everything else he can handle. My first day I showed up I got 5 hours in 4 different aircraft! Unheard of at bigger schools.
If you are looking for a family oriented amazing place to train to be a pilot without a degree or that huge $120K ATP bill, this is the place to be.
I myself wanted to fast track and came close a few times to signing that insane bill for the fancy airplanes and “fast track” timeframe. At the end of the day I am forever grateful I called Chas instead and chose to continue all my training with him. I have spent a fraction of the cost and gotten the same certifications as the rest, PLUS I became an airplane owner.
