Beyond Aviation Atlantic City

I had a very disappointing experience at Beyond Aviation after attending briefly. The experience started off fine during the first few flights. I work full time and aimed to fly at least once a week, but between weather-related cancellations and normal life obligations, consistency became difficult. Instead of being understanding, my instructor began comparing my progress negatively to his other students, despite the fact that I had not flown in almost a month. Around the same time, the school switched aircraft fleets and increased pricing. At that point, I felt I had already spent approximately $10,000–$15,000 with little progress toward completing my private pilot license. I was referred to a different instructor to help improve my training, but unfortunately, that only made things worse. When I requested to reschedule a lesson due to work something I communicated well within the 24-hour window the instructor reacted unprofessionally and I was still charged a late rescheduling fee. This was extremely frustrating, as I need to work in order to afford $597 per flight lesson. I also attempted to reach out to the owner Bill to discuss these concerns, but received no response but infact he threatened to sue me for writing this honest & truthful review about this god awful of a flight school. Never in my nightmare would I recommend this place to any aspiring student. Communication overall was poor, and I felt ignored and essentially ghosted by the school. Based on my experience, this school does not seem accommodating to working professionals and instead favors students with unlimited availability and financial flexibility. I would strongly encourage prospective students to carefully consider other flight schools in the area before committing their time and money here.

My son is training with Beyond Aviation in both the Lumberton and Atlantic City locations. Our experience with both locations and with multiple flight instructors has been outstanding. They have beautiful, brand new airplanes, and fantastic facilities. We looked at several other schools before selecting Beyond Aviation, and we are very thankful we found this place. It's not a pilot mill, and they truly care about each student. If your looking to fly for fun or to train for a career, put this school on your short list! ***Update February 19 2026*** Beyond Aviation Atlantic City provides in-person ground school, and a community feel. As a result, it is very common for students to interact with each other. I personally experienced the difficult nature of the above student, Isha. I think her review is unfounded. Even the staff at Signature Aviation, where the school leases space will attest to the fact she was a very difficult individual. Just my 2 cents.

I don't often write reviews, in fact this is my first. Seeing the grossly unfair review left by another student, I was compelled to leave one myself. Beyond Aviation has a very structured program. I was schedule to fly with Ryan Smith typically after he flew with the individual who left the 1 star review. I also participated in group ground school with this individual as well. She was habitually late to class/lessons, which delayed my instruction by at least 30 minutes on a regular basis. She was also not prepared for class during the joint ground session we had. It was very clear she either did not take the course seriously, or simply was in over her head. My experience with the flight school has been overwhelmingly positive. The staff and instructors (shout out to Ryan) have been excellent. I hope by sharing my experience, it helps negate the very unfair review left by a clearly disgruntled student. Beyond Aviation is an excellent place to train. It's run by Airbus and Boeing pilots, several who also flew in the military. The owners wife even trains the SpaceX and Blue Origin astronauts part time.
