Flying is a big deal. Less than 1% of the population knows how to do it, even fewer people know how to teach it well, and only a small fraction are truly dedicated to creating a safe, encouraging environment where students can learn and pilots can shine. Princeton Flying School has all of that: a community of pilots helping each other, a team of capable flight instructors, and experienced mechanics who are dedicated to keeping the aircraft safe and well maintained. I did my pilot training at Princeton Flying School, and I would recommend it to anyone. Whether you simply want to earn your certificate and fly for fun, work toward the airlines, or just become part of a great aviation community, this is a place worth checking out. The door is always open.

First time flying a plane and it was an amazing experience. Instructor Wayne Coutinho was great and made the whole lesson very hands-on. He let me handle everything from taxiing to getting the plane up in the air and maneuvering while flying, only taking over for landing and a few harder maneuvers. We flew from Princeton along the river towards NYC, around Manhattan and Brooklyn, and right by the Verrazzano Bridge. Incredible views and an unforgettable first flying experience.

Very comforting environment, only 1st lesson but felt more confident about flying thanks to Wayne my instructor at the time. Also everyone at the front desk were helpful, and everyone seems very positive and wants the best for whoever walks through the door.

I had an amazing experience flying for the first time. My instructor was Wayne. He’s a great guy, very professional and friendly. We flew by Staten Island and over the Statue of Liberty, the views were mesmerising. I was able to steer the aircraft and whenever I needed a break, Wayne was there. It was an absolute fun experience. Friendly staff, amazing people, and a really cool flight. Oh and the fall colours were beautiful.

We visited Princeton Flying School for an airport tour, and it was such a great experience! Our kids absolutely loved it—especially getting the chance to go inside of a charter plane, which was such a thrill for them. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making the whole visit enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommend this place for anyone curious about planes or looking for a fun, educational outing with the kids!
