I am a commercially rated pilot and was traveling in the area, and wanted to time build in a multi engine aircraft. I flew with MEI Joshua in the DA-42 and we did almost 6 hours of flying! The Hudson River transition and the various cross countries we flew in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Lake Placid in Upstate New York, and Burlington, Vermont were all very fun and I refreshed my proficiency in the DA-42! Great experience and would strongly recommend Joshua as an instructor and Take Flight Aviation flight school!

I completed my multi-engine training at Take Flight Aviation, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The program was accelerated, well-structured, and extremely thorough, while still maintaining a strong emphasis on safety and professionalism. Training in the DA42 NG was outstanding. The aircraft was well maintained and perfect for learning real-world multi-engine operations. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and clearly invested in my success. Every lesson was purposeful, efficient, and tailored to ensure I was fully prepared—not just to pass the checkride, but to actually understand multi-engine flying. What really sets Take Flight Aviation apart is how dialed-in the entire operation is. From scheduling to instruction to checkride prep, everything ran smoothly and efficiently. The instructors pushed me to a higher standard and made sure I was confident with systems, procedures, and engine-out scenarios before moving on.

I have completed my PPL, IR, and CPL with Take Flight and couldn’t be happier. I plan to join their CFI class next month! The training is top tier. The instructors are all professional, personable and invested in teaching to get you to your goals. All of the aircraft are well maintained with in house maintenance, which makes the timeline for training much faster. The scheduling team is amazing, and they will do everything they can to tailor the training to your schedule and keep you moving. I highly recommend Take Flight for anyone interested in flight training at any level!

I have had a great experience with Take Flight and have passed multiple checkrides from PPL- Comm multi quickly and efficiently. The instructors are knowledgeable, helpful and offer excellent guidance. The planes are well maintained with on site maintenance and the entire staff is amazing. Could not recommend enough!

I took the CFI initial course at Take Flight this past June and had an amazing experience. As someone who has trained at four other flight schools across the country, I can say undoubtedly that the quality of training that Take Flight provides is phenomenal. Every instructor I flew with is dedicated to their job and helping you succeed. The course is very well structured under Mitch and Caoilainn, and I had a really easy time adjusting to both flying diamond airplanes and preparing for my check ride. Jared and Hannah did a great job working around conflicts to pack my schedule full with flights so I was able to get through the course in just over a month since I was staying from out of town. The diamond airplanes are very modern and well maintained, and are priced reasonably for what you get. Ryan arranged a check ride date less than two weeks after I graduated. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to get their CFI done quickly at a great school.
