How a so-called reputable flight school can blatantly & knowingly break traffic pattern altitude as well as direction rules is just mindblowing. The pilot's excuse of "well there's nobody here" when a fellow pilot tried to encourage them to obey the rules is beyond comprehension. I completed my commercial multi-engine add on rating at Pure Flight and it was everything I had hoped for and more! Their well maintained Piper Apache was a very cool airplane to fly and had some upgraded avionics (two G5s and the GNX 375 I believe) which I enjoyed since it was a combination of the avionics we see today, and still had the old airplane feeling that gives you the true multi engine flying experience....

I traveled here to get my commercial multi-engine add on based a recommendation from another Army pilot who had just done the same and came away incredibly impressed. This is one of the best places to get flight training in the PNW, and by far the best to do a multi add on. I’ve been flying for over 25 years and been trained by all kinds of schools and aviators starting with the Army’s stellar rotary-wing program. Pureflight is by far the best and most dedicated concentration of instructors I’ve seen, nested in a culture and curriculum that lets them thrive, and it clearly translates to the way students learn here.
