Some amazing people work here! On a random Monday, they went above and beyond to help get my airplane back in the air after becoming stuck at Wilson Air Center. Christian in the maintenance department is a phenomenal human being and is truly a subject matter expert. I have many years of military and GA flying, and based off what I saw today I would not think twice about renting an aircraft through Crystal aviation or having an aircraft worked on by their maintenance department.

To say that I am very happy with Crystal Air is a HUGE understatement... I unfortunately had to overhaul the engine on my RV6 this year. The mechanic who took the engine off turned out to be "Not the best person in the world." I called Taylor at Crystal Air, and he put me in touch with one of his lead mechanics. The new engine was sitting on the hangar floor, and within a couple of days, it was back on my airplane. These guys did not take the engine off, but we're exceptionally skilled at putting my bird back together. Hard work, dedication, and professionalism have been exhibited through this entire experience. The hourly rate was consistent with the going rate, and I never once felt that they were in it just for the money. John, my mechanic, really wanted to see this plane back in the air. Thank you to everyone at Crystal Air for turning something awful into a constant source of joy again.

I visited all the flight schools in the Chattanooga area before deciding overwhelmingly to go with Crystal Air. The staff are knowledgeable, kind, helpful. The facilities are nice, clean, and updated. Fleet of planes are newer and well maintained. Excited to start the journey to become a pilot with Crystal Air!

Before starting my private pilot training I visited two other options in the area and it only took one visit to Crystal Air (my third stop) to realize how much Crystal Air stood out compared to the other options. Here are 5 reasons why Crystal Air got my business and it wasn’t even debatable: (1) Crystal Air has the newest, safest, and highest-tech fleet in the region for flight training. (2) Most of the Flight Instructors are career instructors instead of instructors there to get hours for their commercial certifications which means lower turnover and instructors committed to the success and safety of all Crystal Air customers. (3) Crystal Air has 3+ full time mechanics which means little to no downtime. One of the aircraft I was scheduled to fly last week had a tire going flat when I arrived. Their team changed the tire in exactly 30 minutes and I was able to fly instead of going home. (4) plenty of great airplanes to choose from ranging from 162s to 182s for any budget. (5) the team at Crystal Air treats you like family. You’re part of the family from day one and it makes you want to keep coming back! I couldn’t be happier with my investment and couldn’t be more confident in my training thanks to the safety and technology Crystal Air brings to students like me in Southeast Tennessee.

I have always loved airplanes but I started learning to fly later in life, at age 58! A great friend of mine referred me to Crystal Air and that started my aviation journey in September of 2020. Fast forward to today, I have my pilot's license and am working on my instrument rating. The people at Crystal Air are truly some of the best folks I have ever been around and they go above and beyond with customer service, they have no equal. Crystal Air provided me with an absolutely wonderful learning experience and I have truly enjoyed every minute it. In fact, I consider my experiences at Crystal Air some of the best ever!
