Called Anna about a discovery flight. She paired me up with the perfect instructor. At first it’s intimidating and easy to see why so many students don’t follow through. After a few lessons and lots of studying it’s all starting to make sense. FCA provides a great environment for flight training. John Tune is a busy place and I’d rather get used to that rather than a rural airport somewhere. They’ve got a good variety of aircraft available. I’ve been flying their Diamonds. As far as expenses go, I feel like FCA is very competitive with their fees. I also believe my instructor is genuinely trying to help me make the most out of every minute. When the time comes to pass the test, I’ll be confident in my new skills. Thanks Anna and everyone involved! Edit: 52 hours now I’ve gotta say Chris Tucker is a first class guy. He is a great instructor and a perfectionist. He stays fully engaged during every lesson and patiently works to make you into a safe, skilled pilot. It has become obvious that my success is very important to him and everyone at the school.

Highly recommend Frequency Change Aviation. My instructor Christian Leibold was excellent — especially relatable as he earned his PPL and ratings while working full time. The instructors, including Anna Sorenson, were friendly and supportive. Scheduling / pricing were very reasonable for someone time / cost sensitive. If I was reviewing options all over again, I would prioritize this group of CFIs.

I recently completed my PPL with FCA. My CFI was Chris Tucker who provided an excellent training experience. I would highly recommend FCA to anyone looking to get their PPL in the Nashville area! I plan on using them again for my instrument rating when the time comes to train for it. Their office is conveniently located on the field at KJWN providing a great experience for both flight and ground training.

If you’re looking for somewhere to either start or continue your flight training, FCA is the place you want to be! My instructor, Chris, has been incredibly supportive and patient throughout my training and is always able to explain concepts/skills in a way that you can easily understand. He is a wonderful teacher, pilot, and all around guy! I just passed my private pilot checkride and I could not have done it without the amazing team at FCA. They are some of the most friendly and professional individuals and always make sure you feel welcome and taken care of. So sign up for a flight! You won’t regret it.

I just earned my instrument certificate with Frequency Change Aviation. I started in September of 2024 and I had my check ride March of 2025. I personally requested the owner, Jeff Ramsey, as my flight instructor after hearing his name several times within the aviation community and after meeting him I knew he was the instructor that I needed. He has a gift of patience in teaching as in no other human being I have ever meet. Not coming from a mechanical strong background and being a “middle age” female comes with some disadvantages for learning what they call the “hardest” rating to achieve. Jeff made every part of my learning experience fun yet has a gift of being able to teach to high standards with effectively learning the lesson. I also flew with several other Frequency Change flight instructors, Clayton Anderson and Trevor Cox, both of which I would recommend. There is always something to learn from each flight instructor and Jeff has an excellent staff of flight instructors to choose from. I felt that with their fleet of airplanes that I never had down time or had postpone training due to maintenance. If one airplane went down for a 100 hour inspection, there was always another option to fly to keep my training moving along. Also, their pride to keep the airplanes clean was another example of their first class experience. They have a great staff and I’m looking forward to continuing my aviation journey with them in the future. They say the best compliment is a return student and I’ll be returning for my next certificate. I am so grateful for my time with Frequency Change Aviation.
