I can’t say enough good things about Tennessee Flight Training’s Shelbyville location. As a current student, my experience has been outstanding from day one. The instructors are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but they are also patient, encouraging, and genuinely passionate about helping students of all ages succeed. Every lesson has been both challenging and rewarding! I have never felt rushed in gaining confidence in my flying abilities as I have been able to learn at my own pace. The instructors take the time to explain concepts clearly and make sure you truly understand what you're learning, both in the air and on the ground. What really stands out is the positive and welcoming atmosphere at TFT Shelbyville and at KSYI in general! Everyone is friendly, professional, and committed to helping students reach their goals. The FBO and airport environment are outstanding, the aircraft are well maintained, and safety is always the top priority. Learning to fly has been one of the most exciting experiences of my life, and Tennessee Flight Training has made that journey even better. I highly recommend them to anyone considering flight training, whether you're just getting started or working toward advanced ratings. I’m grateful to be training here and look forward to continuing my aviation journey with them.

I do not at all like leaving negative reviews, and seldom dislike a place so much that I feel the need to advise others in a public review. Tennessee Flight Training in my experience is overall a poorly run flight school. I say poorly run due to the high prices for well used and abused aircraft, poor communication, and little flexibility when things don’t exactly work perfectly. I was at this location when it was Azure and had no issues, then TFT purchased the location and quality decreased significantly. Prices went up from $160/ hr to $190/ hr, communication was non existent for the first few weeks, and I could not have gotten out of there quicker! Well, I actually probably could have if any of the planes weren’t broken on my checkride date and if they would have been willing to grab another plane from a nearby Tennessee Flight Training location… I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but they’ve really got to get themselves together or they will likely find themselves in the same situation as “Nashville Flight Training.” 2 stars only because the instructors in Shelbyville were pretty good and kept that place appeasing to students. Miss Mari Kay also did an alright job communicating with me when needed. I’m willing to say that things aren’t going well maybe due to the fact that they are new to Shelbyville and are still getting their stuff together. I’m not sure. Hope to see some better reviews in the future. —Aaron
