If you're considering getting a tail-wheel endorsement, make the trip to Hondo and fly with Chris. It's a perfect location and Chris is an excellent CFI. We were knocking out 20+ landings per hour and the different runways allow for all kinds of cross-wind/short field training. Chris also has permission to land at a ton of private grass strips- totally awesome experience. Highly recommend.

I recently completed my tailwheel transition training with Chris, and it was an absolute blast! Chris is an excellent CFI, and I honestly didn’t know flight lessons could be so much fun.

The BushCat they use is an awesome aircraft for learning — the seating and control layout make it a great platform for tailwheel training. Hondo is also an excellent airport for this kind of flying, with several long runways and ...

I did my tailwheel endorsement here with Chris. Best prices I’ve seen anywhere near San Antonio. Great instruction at a very cool airport (4 runways with no tower!), plus the BushCat is hands down the most fun plane I’ve ever flown.

Chris and Jimmy are awesome. I am part of a new Aeroclub in Southern California with a resurrected Zenith 750 Stol airplane. We spent 8-10 months getting it ready to fly, then had to jump through the insurance hoops to start getting our guys signed off to fly it. This required finding a CFI with Zenith 750 experience.
