I took a discovery flight here and it was amazing. The facility is nice and my instructor Jace was very knowledgeable and welcoming. They recently acquired new planes as well. If you are looking for a flight school in the McAllen area I highly recommend McAllen Flight Academy!

I'm a private pilot and briefly in McAllen on vacation. I contacted the owner and they were able to fit me in the schedule on very short notice, and were very responsive and friendly throughout (would recommend contacting by phone as opposed to email for a faster response time.) The planes seem well-maintained, and the Tomahawk was a joy to fly! They're a less common trainer, so getting the opportunity to go up in...

Héctor Zúñiga, the owner is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. This school is driven by passion and not greed. If you are looking for extensive know how and for a school that is more focused on making pilots than making money, this is the academy for you. Schools is reasonably priced and we'll equipped and maintained.
