Norfolk Flight Center prices are exponentially higher than the neighboring flight schools with lower quality aircrafts. Would advise doing homework at look at different schools before choosing to do a discovery flight or flight lessons here.

I would strongly advise prospective students to carefully evaluate this flight school before enrolling. My experience during Instrument Rating training was significantly more expensive than expected, and I believe the cost structure was not clearly communicated upfront. In my case, the total cost reached approximately $25,000, which is far above the typical range of around $7,000–$10,000 in the United States for similar training. A major factor was being encouraged to train in a high-performance aircraft (PA-24-250 Comanche), which substantially increased hourly costs. I did not feel that I was adequately guided toward more cost-effective training options, nor that expectations about total cost were transparently outlined from the beginning. I recommend future students request a detailed training plan, cost estimate, and aircraft selection rationale in writing before committing. While others may have different experiences, I encourage thorough due diligence to avoid unexpected financial outcomes.

The Chief Pilot/Owner of Norfolk Flight Center takes excellent care in the service his business provides to airman. Peter is very present to ensure his flight training & testing center runs safely & effectively. I was treated with the utmost professionalism and it was very evident that safety was his number one priority. With a great variety of aircraft he is always looking to add to and diversify his fleet. I recently had the pleasure of flying with Val on a commercial nighttime cross country flight in the Symphony 160 aircraft. Val is an excellent aviator with a wealth of knowledge and experience. His mentorship was well timed and thoughtfully articulated. I look forward to my next flight at the Norfolk Flight Center.

This was one of the best investments I've ever made. My boys had a fabulous time and what a hell of an enthusiastic instructor we had! Extremely knowledgeable and intergenic he was! I highly recommend this experience
