I’ve been happy to rave about this flight school to anyone who asks. Our instructor was phenomenal in his knowledge and communication. We have worked with Gibson Aviation in many aspects of our aviation journey and we’ve been encountered with extreme friendliness from all.

I trained at Gibson Aviation in Eau Claire at KEAU. They were easy to deal with and my instructor Ted Gibson was AWESOME. He was fun to fly with and helped me learn in ways that worked for me. He pushed me to improve but at a safe pace. And had be Checkride ready at just over 40 hours. Now they do all the maintenance on the Cessna 172 we purchased after getting our license!

As someone working a full-time job, finding a flight school that could accommodate my schedule and provide top-notch instruction was essential and I’m very glad I found this one. From day one, the team at Gibson Aviation was incredibly flexible and understanding of my time constraints. They went out of their way to tailor flight times, ground instruction, and checkride prep around my availability, which made training not only possible, but enjoyable. What truly sets this school apart, though, is the quality of the flight instructors. Every CFI I trained with (especially Ted and Hersh) was not only deeply knowledgeable but also patient, clear in their teaching, and genuinely passionate about aviation. They create a learning environment that’s both professional and supportive, which is exactly what you need when you’re juggling work and flight training. Whether you're looking to fly recreationally or pursue a career in aviation, I can’t recommend Gibson Aviation enough especially if you're balancing a busy schedule. This school makes it possible without compromising the quality of training.
