Two Australian private pilots, we arrived in Wisconsin for EAA AirVenture and were looking for a US instructor to take us flying. Ben Retzlaff from Pilotsmith Milwaukee was happy to oblige in an SR20. On Friday 19th July we took turns to fly him along the shore of Lake Michigan. First from Timmerman via the Chicago skyline to Gary IN, where we stopped for a break and swapped over, then back up along the shoreline past Green Bay to Ephraim for lunch. After lunch we headed back to Timmerman, seeing various formations practising their routines for the AirVenture. What a great day. Thanks Ben.
