What is a fixed pitch propeller?
A propeller whose blade angle is set when it is manufactured and cannot be altered in flight. The airplane has a single engine control lever, the throttle, and the propeller speed rises and falls with power and airspeed together.
That is the whole entry for now. The longer version, with the mechanics and worked examples, is still to be written. See autorotation for how those read once they exist.
