Glossary
What is load factor?
The ratio of the load the wings are carrying to the actual weight of the airplane, expressed in Gs. It rises in a turn and in any abrupt pull-up, and because stalling speed rises with it, a loaded wing stalls at a higher airspeed than the same wing in level flight.
Also called G-load, Gs
That is the whole entry for now. The longer version, with the mechanics and worked examples, is still to be written. See autorotation for how those read once they exist.
