Foriegn pilot here. I was able to get a few rentals over the course of three days in early June, sightseeing to the South East/ South West and up to the North. The team at Angel communicated with me from Australia, several months beforehand. On arrival I was well received and found that flying from Merrill was none too difficult providing some preperation is done beforehand. I liked the fleet they have here and the desk staff and instructors were just fine. Shout out to the "rampers" for a great job keeping the planes looking good.

I just completed my Private Pilot License last month with Angel Aviation, and I can confidently say it has been one of the best training experiences I could have asked for. The aircraft are well maintained and reliable, which builds confidence from day one, and the CFIs are professional, patient, and genuinely invested in your success, tailoring instruction to my learning style in a way that makes a real difference. I especially appreciated how involved the owners and mechanics are in day to day operations, it creates a strong aviation community feel, and seeing other students constantly coming and going is a great sign that the school is active, engaged, and thriving. In Anchorage, weather can easily slow training down, but Angel’s dedicated training rooms and on site simulator keep you progressing even on bad weather days, allowing you to stay sharp and practice procedures instead of losing momentum. Between the quality aircraft, exceptional instructors, and the ability to train consistently regardless of weather, Angel Aviation stands out as the best place to train in Anchorage. Highly recommend.

I was visiting Anchorage on vacation with family and wanted to fly my parents around. I got checked out and rented a C172 from Angel Aviation and had a great experience. Dan D. was my CFI who was very helpful with me being unfamiliar with Anchorage airspace, he provided recommendations and made sure I was ready to fly after our renter checkout. Molly and Laura at the front desk were amazing as well, super friendly. All my interactions with Angel Aviation were positive, I would highly recommend their business to others.

After spending the last year training with Angel Aviation in Alaska and Arizona from Private to Multi Engine Instructor, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the company! I started training elsewhere, but was recommended to make the switch to Angel and they instantly took me under their wing (pun intended)! It was an immediate upgrade from my initial training. They guided me every step of the way and not only taught me everything I needed to know, but also why it was important. I think the “why” knowledge is incredibly important and I’m grateful they provided that for me and all of their students. I highly recommend training with Angel Aviation and I’m looking forward to passing on the wealth of knowledge I have gained as I begin instructing for them!
