Professional, efficient, and rigorous are just a few ways to describe my recent flight training experience with Arizona Aero-Tech. I recently completed an accelerated Private Pilot License program at Ryan Airfield, just outside of Tucson. I wanted a place where I could fully immerse myself in training, free from the distractions of everyday life—and, of course, getting a tan didn’t hurt either. In all seriousness, the consistently favorable weather, which allows for reliable training flights day after day, was a primary reason I traveled so far. AAT absolutely delivered. Expect early mornings and long days—but also expect to be supported every step of the way by an outstanding staff. From dispatch to instructors to management, I truly felt like I was being taken care of by a team of professionals who genuinely wanted to see me succeed. My instructor, Daron, was incredibly dedicated to my training and showed up in every way. He was always early, demonstrated tremendous patience, and consistently checked in with calls and texts to support me every day. I truly felt like he had my back, and I will always be grateful for his commitment. The rest of the instructors and staff were equally helpful and creative in their support. Mark even created aviation-themed music to help reinforce learning, and Or, along with his instructors, jumped in to ensure every skill was sharpened. The school’s Airbnb house made the experience even more comfortable and convenient—highly recommended. Advice for others considering this school: * Rent the house if you’re coming from out of town * Rent a convertible (trust me) * Go all in and try to fly every day—maximize your learning because the weather allows it here * Use afternoons for self-study and to explore the surrounding area—it’s especially beautiful during the spring bloom * Local food trucks… yum

This is the place you want to go for flight training. I went through their accelerated commercial pilot course last December and felt that was great. They made everything they could easy - of course it takes studying and preparation on your part. Move forward to September of this year and I needed to complete training for my CFI. Tim, the owner, and Scott, the chief pilot, went out of their way to create a custom accelerated plan for my CFI training. They followed through with training that can only come with decades of experience. Their focus is on making you a great and safe pilot, not just one that can pass a checkride. I flew from the Denver area to complete my training at Arizona Aerotech and would gladly do it again, they’re that good. If you are looking for great flight training facility come here. If you live in the Tucson area you are lucky to have a gem of a training facility close. Highly recommended!

Exceptional flight school, aircraft, and instructors. Tim, the owner was super friendly and helpful when I called. Rosa, Jim and Ashley treat you like family. I completed my commercial training with their accelerated CAX program. Be prepared to be in school for 6-7hrs a day. STUDY! STUDY! STUDY! Give them a try! You won’t regret.

I went through the accelerated Instrument and completed my Commercial here and highly recommend the great staff and very well maintained aircraft. I've been to several different flight schools in my career between fire seasons and their accelerated program is an excellent fit if you're limited on time and well prepared. Not to mention they have some of the best consistent weather in the lower 48 and a nice new facility.
