If you’re interested in starting your flight training journey I would definitely recommend this school. It’s definitely the best school in San Diego. I got all of my ratings here and it was worth it. Since the first day I got there, the staff, flight instructors and other students were very friendly, attentive and supportive. Great atmosphere. Planes are well maintained, you feel safe flying them. And most importantly, they prepare extremely good to become a great pilot. Loved my experience at CFA and would definitely recommend!!

This is one of the best flight schools ever. I started and am finishing my training here and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The instructors are top tier, the staff is super nice, and the airplanes are super well maintained. With a wide selection of airplanes, training here has been made a breeze. Definitely recommend to anyone on the quest for a great, affordable flight school.

California Flight Academy has been awesome so far. As an international student, training in the same plane as the plane in my country where I will convert my license was very important. They also offer student housing, which made moving to a new country easier. The staff are very helpful with all the TSA and Visa processing I had to deal with. All the flight instructors had been very patient, they want you to learn and be a safe pilot. They push you to be better and equip you to succeed. The airspace is great as you get to train in some of the world’s busiest airspace while having a lot of training space as well. Weather in San Diego is beautiful. Some cancellations due to clouds or winds but also means you get the chance to experience some actual instrument conditions. All in all, it’s been a great place to jumpstart my aviation journey.

I was in this school for 7 months without PPL , I would not recommend this school for International Students especially. I transfered to another school and got everything from PPL to CFI in just 4 months. Most international students last 3+ years until all their money is drained and they are kicked. Old Cesnna 172(no g1000), few instructors, new rules everyday(go to an established school), student housing just to name a few. I am glad I left this school early before they drained my passion for flying. Definately not worth it.
