Mian was great for my partners discovery flight! It was really cool to be a passenger in the back while my partner was piloting with Mian’s direction. Took us over SF and along the coast and the East Bay at sunset / evening. Mian did some fun maneuvers too, spinning to 2G! Definitely recommend for a discovery flight, very fun, kind, instructive, and clear.

He is truly exceptional—patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled at breaking down complex flying concepts into something easy to understand. Mian creates a very calm and confidence-building learning environment, which made a huge difference, especially during my early flights. There is no instructor quite like Mian. As someone who has wanted to become a pilot ever since, my instructor Mian at Golden Gate Flight has made my goal of becoming a commercial pilot feel truly achievable. His approach to instruction is defined by clarity, patience, humility, and genuine skill. He takes the time to ensure that his students fully understand each lesson, both in the air and on the ground, and never rushes the learning process. I have previously visited other flight schools that were significantly more expensive and had training structures that made learning inefficient and discouraging. Though, in contrast, Mian creates an environment where learning feels purposeful, at your own pace, attainable, and especially affordable. He allows us to use the best proprietary online ground school that I find to be more effective than other methods of learning, that of which I could take at my own pace. And if I ever have any difficulty with any concepts, Mian is more than enthusiastic about having to explain concepts in a way that builds my confidence and competence in flying and aviation, making each lesson meaningful. I can confidently say that Mian has made what once felt like an impossible dream feel realistic and within reach. His dedication to his students and passion for aviation truly sets him apart as an exceptional flight instructor.
