I attended Wings Over LA last year to complete my CFI initial and had the benefit of working with several experienced and knowledgeable instructors. Of the five flight schools I have attended, Wings Over LA is the only one where I never had to cancel a flight because of a maintenance issue. I also never saw maintenance deferred on nonrequired equipment, which speaks to the school’s commitment to keeping its aircraft in excellent condition. On top of that, they offer some of the best rates on Cessna rentals at Van Nuys Airport. The owner, Jess, takes excellent care of both his aircraft and his customers. I would highly recommend Wings Over LA to anyone looking for professional instruction, well-maintained airplanes, and affordable rental rates at KVNY.

Wings Over LA is the best flight school. I called a year ago about a discovery flight and had the fortune of speaking with the owner, Jess. I was super nervous about flying, but he reassured me, helped me feel confident that it was safe, and paired me with one of their amazing instructors. Flying has become one of my greatest passions, and I have Jess to thank for it!

I'm currently a PPL student at Wings and couldn't recommend it enough. The owner, Jess, and all the staff/instructors are super helpful and personable, and they all take a real interest in helping you succeed. My instructor Marden is highly experienced and gives great feedback when I'm flying, and overall a very cool guy to spend time with! The aircraft are also maintained to high standards, which is a great feeling for someone new to flying. I have no complaints about my experience as a student here and will definitely be at Wings for my future ratings.

Wings Over LA is an outstanding flight school. The instructors are very knowledgeable and skilled. They were very flexible with my work schedule. I have only down the Cessna 172S with a G1000. It is in great shape and well maintained as all their planes are. Jess, the owner, is very personable and a pleasure to be around. I definitely recommend this flight school as the prices are reasonable compared to the surrounding flight schools.

Wings Over L.A. is a great place to learn to fly. From the owner Jess, the great CFI's and Katarina running the office. I couldn't ask for anything more. With several clean and well maintained planes to choose from you can't go wrong picking Wings over LA as you flight school.
