Supporting the other users posting about North Coast Air's complete disregard for the communities near the airports they use for "practice." Today, on an otherwise beautiful and peaceful Sunday, a NCA pilot buzzed our Cloverdale neighborhood dangerously low and unsafe 5 times! WTH! Loud and unsafe flying over residential communities. How can this be legal? If this is what they are teaching their "students" then their license should be revoked. Cloverdale needs to close their airport to practice flights from transient (out of town) pilots.

Regularly ignore requests to avoid practice and T&G flights in the small and quiet valley town of Cloverdale. They fly low, loud, and repeated flights over homes, businesses and places of worship with the intention of harassing our small town. An arrogant bunch of folks who do not have a care in the world about the communities in which they operate. They soon will be facing a public nuisance claim!

These pilots routinely ignore requests from local small airports and their surrounding communities (like Cloverdale) to avoid Touch&goes and noise sensitive ("no fly") zones. I have witnessed repeated low and loud overflights from their planes that seem to have the intention of community harassment. These guys give GA pilots a bad name.

This flight school insisted that my spouse present a passport before they would answer the most basic questions about flight training. Now, I understand that after 9/11 that proof of citizenship or legal residency might be required to sit in an airplane, or participate in ground classes, or even to sit in a simulator and make airplane noises. However, as an attorney I question the validity of the claim that to answer questions like "what planes do you train in" or "what avionics do you have installed" the school needs proof of anything. Furthermore, my spouse said she would feel more comfortable with a female CFI. Many women in classes have felt the same way and appreciate a teacher of the same sex. The owners response was to declare that "you'll get the instructor we give you." No, see actually we won't. Instead the $28000 cost of a PPL and IFR endorsement will be going to a school that doesn't offend people five minutes into the first interaction. Im sure the ever growing population of misogynist boomers will keep them in business. Everyone else go someplace better.

Had a great experience there! Went for a flight tour and had a great time. It was much more then I expected. The staff were amazing and sweet. Our pilot was very skilled and fun. He is a cargo pilot for Atlas Air and he is a flight instructor on his days off. It was a very hands on experience. The pilot did a very good job at involving us during the flight. For example, he explained very clearly the controls of the airplane and also he let me control the airplane during some of the flight. He was very knowledgeable about the area and took us to some very interesting places. In the office they also had the sweetest dogs ever. All in all it was an experience of a life time. I highly recommend them whether you want to see the beautiful Sonoma Valley from above or you are just a plane lover (like me:).
