I was in town from Tennessee to demo Sling airplanes and had the pleasure of flying with Kate in the TSI, then Derek in the Sling 2. Great airplanes and great people! I plan to return for transition training when I get my hands on a sling of my own. After reading the negative comments I’m sure that the people writing them didn’t give this place a chance. If you have no patience or an aversion to changes, then you’ve got no business training to become a pilot. This is an excellent place for flight training!

Go here if: (1) You want to be $50K+ in debt with no discernible graduation date in sight; (2) You want to be making $900+ loan payments on a private loan while your flights are being cancelled left and right and your primary instructor is fired with practically no follow-up on behalf of the “administration.” Supremely disappointing experience. Buyer beware.

This was an extremely upsetting and unprofessional experience. I won a raffle for a one-hour trial at this school. The first appointment was confirmed, and I drove over an hour to get there, only to find the school closed with no staff present and no notification at all. I still gave them a second chance. The second appointment was also confirmed the day before. I arrived on time and was then told they had called my workplace and sent an email after I had already left. The notification was sent far too late to be useful. After two long trips made for confirmed appointments, there was not even a basic apology. The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for my time was unacceptable. Winning a raffle should not result in wasted time and frustration. I would strongly caution others before dealing with this school.

I scheduled a discovery flight with the club, and when I arrived, I was informed that it had been canceled due to high winds, which is completely understandable and the safe decision. However, the issue was that I was never notified ahead of time. I ended up taking a day off work and spending nearly three hours in traffic round trip, only to find out upon arrival that the flight was canceled. This experience was frustrating and felt like poor communication. Given the significant time and financial investment involved in flight training, I expected better customer service.

Sling Pilot Academy is absolutely amazing! The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in your success. From day one, the training environment has been supportive, motivating, and very organized. The aircrafts are well-maintained, the dispatch team is super helpful, and the entire academy runs with a high level of professionalism. As a new student pilot, I feel confident, safe, and excited every time I come in. Sling has given me a clear path toward becoming an airline pilot, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Highly recommended for anyone serious about flight training!
