I walked into Visalia Flyers last year as a zero hour student. Byron (owner) took the time to meet with me personally and answered any questions I had. Byron set me up with an instructor right away, and the training began. Present day, I recently completed my flight training and earned my private pilot certificate. The entire experience at Visalia Flyers has been great. It seems that only the best CFI’s are allowed to teach there. I worked with 3 different CFI’s during my training, and each one of them were professional, kind, and eager to help me succeed. With safety being a big factor in aviation, I can say with confidence that I have flown all 3 planes at the club, and never was I concerned about the condition of the aircraft. Byron works hard and often times after hours, to ensure the planes are properly and professionally maintained. I will continue to rent and fly from Visalia Flyers.

I've been flying out of Visalia for 30 years, with most of that time spent as a private pilot. Over that time, I have seen other schools come and go. I have to say that Visalia Flyers is by far the best option that has ever been available at the Visalia airport. The owner is an A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) Mechanic and he keeps the aircraft impeccably maintained. This is a huge deal! Airplane maintenance is expensive and I have flown some very sketchy planes where the owners tried to stretch things as far as possible and as a result, have experienced numerous in-flight issues. But so far, I have never had a problem with a Visalia Flyers airplane, and I have flown hundreds of hours in them. The instructors there are also top notch. They took me from my Private Pilot rating all the way through my Instrument, Commercial, and Flight Instructor ratings and I enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommended!!!

It has been a few years since Visalia had its own aircraft rental company, and when I found out that Visalia Flyers has opened I was excited! I am in the process of renewing my private pilots license and instrument rating after nearly 10 years, so I needed a basic plane and some good CFII instructors. I have since had the chance to fly with 2/3 of their associated instructors, and each have been very helpful! The instrument-rated Cessna 150 comes at a good price per hour ($110 wet) and the owner, Byron, is really easy to work with. If you’re in the area, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
