It's about 7:45am on a Tuesday and my mission is to complete my trip down to Sun 'n Fun 2026 to camp for the week. Being a first-time aircraft owner, I knew Mooney put a light switch on the inside of the baggage door, but I must've accidentally hit it loading my camping gear without realizing it. After landing the day before in daylight, it stayed on overnight without me knowing.

So back to 7:45am, preflight, ops...

Absolutely amazing instruction! i got my PPL with tailwinds, Jay and drew made sure i was ready and are amazing instructors, i would and have recommended this place for anybody looking to get into flying, the airplanes are always in absolute pristine condition and everyone you will meet here is as nice as can be, jay knows his stuff and teaches very well so does drew, great people great instruction!

My son received his PPL a couple weeks ago at Tailwind Aviation with Drew as his CFI! Nothing short of amazing! My husband and I got to meet Drew this weekend when our son took us up ✈️. Drew is very personable and knowledgeable! Highly recommend!
