I wanted to do something special for my first trip to Traverse City and I have to say flying over the bay was absolutely amazing! It was one of the top experiences of my entire weekend, and maybe one of the best weekends I’ve ever had. Both Josh and Matthew were extremely welcoming and informative. We will definitely be back for another flight with Matthew, I cannot recommend him enough.

A must if you want to truly capture the beauty of Traverse City. We were greeted by Josh when we first arrived. He showed us around the hangar and showed us quite a few different planes that were on the tarmac. He was very nice and informative. Matthew was our flight instructor and he was amazing. He was very thorough when explaining all the main components of the plane. He did great at pointing out local landmarks and answering any questions we had. We will definitely be back the next time we are Traverse! Thank you Giving Wings Aviation, Josh and Matthew for making my trip better than I could've imagined!

Over a 3 year period, I've attended 4 different flights schools but I came back to GWA. These guys got me over the hurtles and across the finish line. Super positive and supportive staff. I cannot say enough about this team. Hands-down, the best school I've been to. Very well maintained aircraft and clean facilities. I would HIGHLY recommend this flight school for your training., There were many challenges during my extended training....and they kept me engaged and focused. I would not have gotten my license without them. I am so appreciative of Eric and his team. Highly experienced and friendly instructors....with a love for aviation. GWA is a step above the rest. Great place to learn to fly! I have visited a couple times for discovery flights. Sarah Lorenz was my first flight instructor, She was awesome, very nice, professional & informative. I don't recall the gentleman's name that I was assigned for my second flight, but another great experience. Like few people have done, I got to fly the ICON-A5. One of the coolest and most innovative sea planes I have ever seen! (See photo attached.) So much fun! As far as the facility, staff & planes, everything was top notch. far exceed my expectations. Can't wait to return this summer. Keep up the great work!

Best flight school in the state. The aircraft are extremely well maintained, the staff are professional, and each instructor I've flown with has been awesome. Eric and his staff have done an incredible job with this school. If you want to learn to fly, I cannot recommend this place enough.
