I visited this flight school thru Harvest Host, staying 2 nights on an old runway. The host was very nice, and helpful and they provided us with water. The host even checked on us as we were leaving. We used our generator for power, so there is no power or dump station, but a great place to stop by if passing thru

I wouldn’t recommend this college to anyone. The president of the company (Denise Hobart) is very unprofessional and is very inconsiderate of her staff and students. When asked questions she won’t respond and blows it off. She doesn’t give reasons for her actions and keeps the truth from you. She puts money and herself above others and their needs. American Winds is a great place to learn how to fly. I have nothing but good things to say about Denise and the staff. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and want to see you succeed. I had two great instructors, and the ground instructor Dave is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had!

Took my FAA part 107 test at American Winds Flight Academy today. Nice people there and an interesting place to browse around. Some things there about flying that I enjoyed. Learned they provide charter flight services and pilot training.
