i have a commercial pilot license with a multi-engine and instrument ratings for many years. with that being said i have had numerous check rides check outs and bi-annuals. all the instructors confirmed to the FAA guidelines. however at advit flight academy there is a rogue flight instructor who deviates from the prescribed syllabus. this particular instructor teaches in a passive aggressive manner.

My son is working towards his PPL with Avit. Everyone has been so professional and courteous with every interaction we have had. I always receive a quick response to every question. He got paired with a wonderful flight instructor Chris Repole who has been amazing working around my sons busy schedule. Now even more convenient since they are at Portage County airport! I rode along on a discovery flight with my boyfriend and we truly enjoyed the experience. Everyone at Avit Flight Academy was friendly and accommodating. I've enjoyed the experience so far of getting my private pilot's license here. I don't feel unsafe in the planes, the maintenance is up to date, and the instructor is knowledgeable on the subject.

You can rent a plane from here with your license or work on getting your instrument and private at the least. I believe they might also do commercial but I'm not there yet.

Had the most amazing time today on our flight over Wadsworth! Pilot Bryon Palitto gave us an amazing tour and allowed us to interact hands on with the flight. This was our second time going and we can’t wait for our third!
