Visited for a checkride a few weeks ago. Seems like a great flight school and fbo with lots of attentive employees and line people. Got a full service fuel fill up. Decently busy little airport! Be careful in the pattern on nice days. Also beware the right-pattern for rw 28.

My son took his first introductory flight today! Logan was his instructor. It was sooo much fun! Logan did an amazing job making us feel comfortable and taught my son a lot. We will absolutely be rescheduling! 10/10 recommend!!

If you are looking to get the most bang for your buck and a laid back atmosphere to take flying lessons or just rent a plane, this is your place! Ian the manager and part owner is down to earth and can lead you in the right direction. Instructor wise, I recommend the one and only Gregory Miller. Sundowner aviation is the best place in Ohio to learn to fly, from management to instructors and service agents they are all great. The instructors are very professional and knowledgeable and all the aircraft’s are exceptionally well maintained with in house knowledgeable mechanics. The environment is awesome and I can proudly say I became a private pilot at Sundowner aviation KLHQ. Now onto instrument training.
