I just earned my PPL and had a great experience training at Brandywine. CFI Charlotte was excellent, she’s patient and very knowledgeable.. She and Stephen truly cared about my success. They made sure I was safe and were always flexible with my needs. I definitely recommend this school!

Just completed my PPL and had a very good experience. Alyssa is a great instructor and she worked with me even when life got in the way for a while. The owner Stephen is invested in each student’s success and has decades of experience in aviation. Love the school mascot Riley too! As a part 61 flight school you can go at your own pace which is what I needed to get it done while working full time. But make sure you bring the hustle, as that also means it’s ultimately up to you to get across the finish line.

Training as a part-time student with a demanding home and work schedule isn’t easy, but Brandywine Flight School made the entire process smooth and manageable. They were incredibly patient and flexible, always working around my limited availability and never making me feel rushed. Their online scheduling system made it easy to get up in the air. The owner, Stephen, and instructors are true professionals who clearly care about their students. Safety is front and center in everything they do. With so many rules and details in the FAR/AIM, it can be overwhelming, but they break everything down in a way that’s approachable and easy to learn. What really impressed me is their commitment to providing high-quality, thorough training at an attainable price — all without ever compromising safety or cutting corners. Every lesson felt well-planned, thoughtful, and tailored to my progress. Charlotte, the instructor who saw me from Solo through getting my PPL, was excellent. If you’re looking for a flight school that puts its students first, emphasizes safety, and understands real-life scheduling challenges, I highly recommend Brandywine Flight School.

I recently earned my Private Pilot License here and am now working toward my Instrument Rating. From the start, the entire team has been outstanding. The instructors are professional, patient, and fully committed to developing safe, competent pilots — not just getting students through checkrides. As an active-duty military member, I’ve been extremely impressed by how accommodating and supportive the school has been with my schedule. They genuinely understand the challenges of balancing service life with flight training and go above and beyond to make it work. Maintenance and aircraft availability have also been excellent. I’ve never had an issue with aircraft reliability, and on the rare occasion a plane went down for maintenance or other problem during operation, I was able to hop into another and keep flying. Of course, this can vary depending on the season and how busy the schedule gets, but the school’s commitment to safety and maintenance standards is clearly a top priority. This is a first-class flight school that blends professionalism with a welcoming atmosphere. They care deeply about their students, their training, and above all — safety. I couldn’t imagine training anywhere else and highly recommend this school to anyone serious about aviation.

I have earned my private pilots licenses at Brandywine flight school and it has been a great experience. Alyssa and Stephen were my instructors and they have both been great. Great airplane and instructor availability open 7 days a week and competitive rental rates. It is a very friendly environment where you can go at your own pace and get great instruction.
