I recently earned my Private Pilot License at Shannon and I left feeling confident and excited to continue my aviation journey. A huge part of that experience was my instructor, Davis Robertson. It was clear that he cared not just about helping me pass my checkride, but about making me a safe, knowledgeable, and capable pilot. I’m incredibly grateful to Davis, all of the incredible instructors, and everyone at Shannon School of Aeronautics for making this such a positive experience. If you’re looking for a flight school that truly invests in its students and prepares them to become safe, confident pilots, I highly recommend training here!

3 out of every 4 lessons will get cancelled due to weather any wind over 7kts doesn’t matter the direction could be a direct headwind doesn’t matter it’ll get cancelled, I’m all for good desision making but not letting students go up on a consistent basis due to super strict standards is costing the students more in the long run but they don’t seem to have an issue with that don’t believe me just look at the planes on flight aware in winter time thell sit days/sometimes weeks without going up. Students should definitely know how to handle an aircraft in some slight adverse conditions too before getting a certificate handed to them, I thankfully only did one cert here which didn’t involve a ton of flight training so it really didn’t effect me personally but speaking for the people looking to get the privet pilot cert which involves a lot more flying time.

Great school with good instructors. Aircraft are easy enough to schedule and readily available. Cheaper than surrounding FBOs, but aviation is expensive.

The Shannon School of Aeronautics has been the perfect place for me as a student pilot who is working on a career transition into the field of a professional pilot. It has offered me the flexibility to pursue my dream of becoming a pilot while I work full-time in my current career. The staff at Shannon are so friendly, professional, and encouraging! Their enthusiasm and passion for aviation is evident in all that they do. What sets them apart from other flying schools though is the warmth and genuineness of their community! I felt welcome from the minute I stepped foot in the door. When I was feeling discouraged at the lack of progress in my journey the staff jumped right in to talk with me and encourage me to keep pressing on. They are super accommodating and their professionalism and communication skills are top notch! Would recommend them to anyone who wants to join a top shelf learning community in the context of aviation.

I enjoyed an outstanding introductory flight experience with my grandson today. It was a memorable and motivating experience for us both. The flight instructor Brian Cox was superb and gave my grandson a hands on flight with the perfect level of explanation, demonstration and engagement. Great job!
