The best place to do your flight training at. It’s affordable and efficient. Amazing instructors my instructor David Alphin taught me so much and made it so I was able to pass my checkride first time. The community here is welcoming and makes you feel at home. Look forward to continuing my aviation journey here.

So glad I found safe and affordable flight instruction close to Roanoke. Loved training in the classic Cessna 172s.

I earned my private pilot here would recommend to others. They do discovery flights, private pilot ppl, instrument, Commercial, CFI, and seaplane ratings. Can’t wait for IFR!

I had a great experience with SML Aviation at Brookneal Airport. My flight instructor, Jack was able to work with my needs to gain flight hours for a scholarship I had. You should defiantly fly with SML!

The atmosphere is great at this school; they really know how to bring out the fun of aviation! I’ve been able to go all the way from private pilot to CFI here and I haven’t had a bad instructor the entire time! Prices and availability are also great.

Ferne and I had a great 55th Anniversary "date" on board SML Aviation's seaplane. Pilot Jack Phillips repeatedly circled parts of the lake that had special meaning to us and made several marshmallow-smooth water landings, one right in our neighborhood cove. Just a fantastic experience....makes a GREAT gift (but be sure to go along if you can!)
