I got in contact with Brian and he was great to talk to and set things up initially. I started knocking out my ground school while coordinating with Brian. I was able to meet with him in person once. He introduced me to the airplane and did a full pre flight inspection with me. The weather was sub par that day so we unfortunately did not get a flight in. Brian informed me he would be gone for about a month immediately following our meet up, and he would get in contact with me upon his return to schedule flight hours. I never heard from him again but he was sure glad to take my money for the one time he met with me. If you have an extra $12,000-$15,000 (at least according to Brian) and you appreciate lack of communication, he's your guy.

He doesn’t just teach you how to pass a checkride — he teaches you how to be a safe, confident, and competent pilot. His attention to detail in both ground instruction and in-flight training really sets him apart. He catches the small things that make a big difference and explains them in a way that actually sticks. He’s patient, clear in his communication, always prepared, and genuinely cares about doing things the right way.

After a 35 year hiatus from the cockpit, decided to take a refresher flight with Brian. He was very accommodating and pleasant to work with. His ability to communicate clearly was greatly appreciated and allowed me concentrate on flying. Was a beautiful day and we flew up to Lake Superior while I worked on my skills. Plan on continuing my training with Brian.

Interacting with Brian for my biannual flight review was a pleasure from the start to the finish. The ground review was valuable versus a few other instructors that I have had in over 40 years of flying who dryly go through some regulations. The flight review was actually very fun. Brian practices positive reinforcement throughout the flight. He injects some interesting scenarios that could actually happen. I was, and I am sure others would be, very happy to fly with Brian.
