What is conventional landing gear?
Landing gear with the third wheel at the tail, behind the two main wheels. The center of gravity sits behind the mains, which makes the airplane directionally unstable on the ground and demands attention through the whole rollout. A separate instructor endorsement is required before acting as pilot in command of one.
