Please, safe your money, nerves and time, this school is not worth it. I had changed from a good flight school with a long commute at a very busy C airspace, with limited booking space and flight restrictions to Executive Flyers, hoping, I would get more air time than hops hours, contrary to what I had experienced previously. Well, little did I know that I ended up with a total rip off and student night mare. The instructors are mostly foreigners, including the unfriendly Syrian guy who runs the office. The instructors are not willing to teach you and are just interested in getting more hours in their books or are frustrated, because they already have so many but don't get hired by an airline, probably because they don't have what it takes for a professional pilot. After going through an Asian instructor from the Philippines, who always showed up at least 30min late, without excuses, created a toxic cockpit environment (no CRM skills), spent most of my lesson time texting to his friends on the phone, then a midaged woman, who spends the first 20min of each lesson on the toilet and writes this down as lesson time and two others, who I don't even want to mention, I finally found one, with whom I had good fun with - but did not learn much either - . He ended up quitting after an argument with the guy in the office. Gold seal doesn't mean anything in this school, my worst experience was with this Phillipino "gold seal instructor". It's not only the instructors, it's the very old and poorly maintained aircraft and the system as well I felt unsafe with. The prices seem attractive, but come with lots of hidden fees. They add a surcharge to the fuel and insurance fee, both per flight hour and offer you a better price if you become a club member for 25.- usd per month. They use Flight Schedule Pro like any other school with the exeption, that with them, you are only allowed to look but can't book and looking is for club members only, all others have no access at all. At every other school I know, Flight Schedule Pro is a free standard service with full access available for every student. If you don't have an own headset, you can rent one for 15.- USD but they are so old and broken, that even the tower tells you, that he can not let you take-off without your voice being heard properly.
I should have left much earlier, especially after a talk to the owner, who had told me at the very beginning:"Before you quit and get frustrated with an instructor, come talk to me". This should have been a red flag already. I tried to talk to him, but he was always too busy and apparently not interested in his clients, like everybody else there. I now fly at a different school which is the complete opposite. My instructor is the best and I learned more in 3 lessons, than I had in 6 weeks at EF. He can't believe, how little I was tought in so many hours and how unprofessionally and poorly they teach. I got hit by a full list of things my previous instructors never mentioned to or trained with me. They mainly focus on their "house DPE" and what he asks on a checkride with all kinds of cheat sheets for you to pass a few questions and maneuvers, but not on what a student really needs in order to become a good pilot. I have met 3 students already, who had quit EF for the same reasons and two more, who dropped out at one other school at this airport. 4 of them had passed their checkride and mine is already scheduled as well. Don't do this to yourself, invest in a professional, good school with safe aircraft, who supports you and really teaches you how to become a safe and good pilot.
