What is a skid?
Flight in which the airplane slides toward the outside of a turn, because the rate of turn is too great for the bank being held. The inclinometer ball rests toward the outside. A skidding turn low to the ground is the classic setup for a stall that drops into a spin.
That is the whole entry for now. The longer version, with the mechanics and worked examples, is still to be written. See autorotation for how those read once they exist.
