After purchasing my Piper Malibu M350, I was required by my insurance to get initial training with a Piper Certified flight school and someone recommended Legacy Flight Training in Scottsdale. I have been flying for over 20 years and had probably over 12 different instructors from several different schools and I can say without any hesitation, Mike Hemmingsen at Legacy was BY FAR, the best instructor I've ever had. The 3 day initial training was extremely informative, Mike was able to answer every single question I had about the aircraft and the course was actually pretty fun. Mike was very patient and friendly when we did the flight portion and I really enjoyed completing this course with him. I HIGHLY recommend Legacy to anyone looking for training in the Piper Malibu, Mirage, M350, M500 and M600. They have a RedBird simulator for the M500 & M600 also. Lastly, Scottsdale, Az is an absolutely beautiful city to visit and stay in. Without question I will be doing my recurrent training with Legacy in the near future.
