If you are looking to learn to fly or just enjoy a cruise around the skies of Delta County, you should definitely contact Ben and Colorado Flight School. My husband purchased a Discovery Flight for me as a gift, and before the 45-minute flight was over, I knew I needed to spend more time in the air cruising in CFS's Cessna 182. There are other flight schools around, but what makes CFS different is the instructors. I've been working with Ben and he is a natural teacher. He knows how to unpack what could be a complicated subject with clarity and even some fun humor. The Blake airfield is quaint, which means you can park about 100 feet from the plane. There is also light air traffic, so there is less stress in the early days of learning. But don't you worry—Ben will surprise you and take you to more crowded airspaces to ensure you are prepared!

Awesome instructors! Its a fun and great place to learn to fly. They have a flight simulator that does single and multi engine training. The only place to my knowledge on the western slope that offers simulator training and time. Its great for currency for IFR raitings as well! The 182 they offer instruction in gives you your high performance raiting. A huge bonus when flying over the high elevations of Colorado.
