Highly recommend this flight school. First of all: Montrose KMTJ is a perfect airport for flight training... not too small, not too busy which allows for all sorts of helpful real-life flight training scenarios without much risk of being too overwhelming. And once airborne, the surrounding landscape is just breathtaking.

The long cross-country that was well worth it for a great flight training experience western colorado flight training. The instructors were experienced and provide training material specially for mountains in such a beautiful area and amazing canyon which is very impressive. Special thanks to Captain Brian, you are a great instructor.

I’ve only had fantastic experiences here. I started with Brian to get my currency back, as well as getting familiar in a new type aircraft. Brian is an incredible instructor - knowledgeable, patient, and works with you personally to overcome difficult tasks. I highly recommend the people here if you want to advance your skills or get started flying.

How lucky am I to live in Montrose and be able to fly with these guys. Bill and Brian are both excellent. It’s fun goofing around but also being able to focus and get the lessons done thoroughly. I’m sure glad I am training with them. Coming up on my solo soon! Cheers

I had an ambitious goal to get my ASEL as quickly as possible and WCFT made it happen. The instructors have diverse flying backgrounds and are skilled at conveying their knowledge. I am continuing to work with them as I work on new ratings and endorsements. Highly recommend!
