Recently had the chance to send my cousin there for a discovery flight for his birthday. Kyle was a flight instructor there and took the time to give a tour and then flew with him. Kyle, was very informative and made it fun. We had a great time and would highly recommend him!

These 1 stars from residents in the area are annoying to read. ATP has a very good reputation and if you are interested you should apply. (To everyone complaining about noise and procedures, please look up voluntary in a dictionary)

The noise of the airport has nothing to do with the quality of the training recieved here. Neighbors that don't like the noise are not students here! They are not even pilots. Airplanes are loud. You can either accept that fact, or not live next to an airport. As an ACTUAL student at ATP, I have enjoyed my time here. I have become a better pilot than I ever thought I could be. And although the school isn't for everyone, I think it is important to consider it, if you are wanting to fulfill your dream of making a career out of flying.

If you want your flight experience to consist of flying tight little loops around and around the airport, by all means learn with ATP Flight School at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport. And, you get to fly those little loops at convenient hours, like 3:00 am. The airport's current noise abatement policy says this: "Flight schools, located on field, have voluntarily stopped departures in the evening hours beginning at 10:00 pm local time. Aircraft from the flight schools shall not depart after this, excepting when required to do so for currency or training in accordance with federal regulations." Yet, ATP routinely does "touch-and-go" training, where students circle the airport over and over again between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am, conveniently when the FAA's tower is closed. This morning, one of their airplanes was circling over and over again between 3:30 and 5:30 am, which is not uncommon. So, yeah, if you find circling over and over fun and you want to learn from an operation that ignores their airport's procedures, sign up with ATP.

If you choose this fight school and you consider yourself in any way to be a good neighbor, ask your instructor if you will spend your ENTIRE 50 (or 40 or 30....) minute lesson flying low, loud and in circles over the residential neighborhoods to the north, south and west of Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport. Just a suggestion.
